There are many different ways you can learn about tuning.  You can go to your local library and look for books on tuning specific cars, such as BMW tuning.  You can also go online and look at the many different websites that focus on tuning.  You’ll find hundreds of these sites, some of which may be useful and some of which may not be.  There are tons of resources online.  Some are message boards and other forums where you can talk with others who enjoy tuning.  This is a great way to exchange information and learn new methods of tuning.  Then there are sites that feature videos.  These videos often take you through the entire process of tuning step by step, and they can be very helpful for those just beginning to get into tuning.

There’s one other way of learning about tuning—downloading MP3’s.  While many people immediately think that MP3 equals music, that’s not always true.  With the newfound popularity of the iPod, many people now listen to podcasts and other programs on these portable devices.  The many different types of downloads for the iPod are no longer limited to music.  You can listen to news programs, for example, or listen to different television shows.  One of the other uses of the iPod and MP3’s is information.  You will find different guides to just about anything available for download, from cooking to learning a foreign language.  This includes tuning.  You can download these tuning MP3s and listen to them as you work on your car.  Those that go step by step through the various tuning processes can help you tune up any vehicle.  All you’ve got to do is put them on your iPod or MP3 player and listen to them as you work.
